Anyone been on a Mediterranean Cruise? Need advice.

Hi Ladies...I am going on a Med. Cruise and was wondering if it's worth going on the excursions or would I be better off just going out on my own.

we did one for our honeymoon... it was great! some places we did excursions and other places (like capri and sorrento, we did our own thing)

We did for our HM and did an excursion in every port. IMHO since neither DH nor I spoke the language in the countries we visited it was worth it. But, I think if we had spoken the language some cities we would have been better off without an excursion.
