I stopped in Belize on a cruise once and didn't really like it. I think it's just the town we were in though. All of the water we could see was brown and murky. However, a coworker of mine went to an island off the coast (I think it was where they filmed 'Temptation Island') and she loved it. The snorkeling and scuba is supposed to be amazing.
