Anyone been to...?

Im asking because I would like to go someplace in the Carribean but other than DR or Aruba (b/c Ive been), Mexico, Bahamas or a cruise.

Im not into total seclusion or small botique hotels, dont mind and would like some nightlife, a few excursions/activities and if available, off resort dining but really dont mind spending a lot of time just on the beach either and at the resort either.

Any recommedations on these places listed or someplace else that would fit?

Went to St. Maarten and St. Thomas. St. Maarten is gorgeous. Lots to do! Def. recommend going there, but u should do all inclusive.

St. Thomas is beautiful but there's not enough to do there to spend a whole week!

Instead of Hawaii, why don't you try Costa Rica? I've been there three times and its awesome. There are hot springs, volcanoes, beaches, rain forests, sciba, surfing, zip line tours, and all the nature you could want. Check out Small Distinctive Hotels. Villa Caletas is my favorite, but I have not stayed at all of the hotels. Costa Rica is a great if you're active. Otherwise, the Caribbean is better. You can go to St. John and St. Thomas. That's more of snorkeling and fishing.

Thank you! I think I am really considering St. Martin...I am not very active, lol...but would like to go off the resort a little. I love that I can see all of this island by car in a week's time plus there are ferrys i hear to go over to anguilla and st. barts which I think is awesome.

St. Lucia I think would be a good choice because its all inclusive but I wouldnt get to see as much.
