I am considering going to Atlantis, Paradise Island for my Honeymoon. Just curious about the how expensive the excursions, food and drinks are. Is it comprable to New York or more expensive. Also, was it an enjoyable vacation?

We went by there on a stop on the Royal Carribean. Beautiful place and very nice, but honestly? I've seen a lot nicer places. Again, I didn't really go into the guts of the place or the rooms, but just from my limited exposure, I hear its pretty expensive and not sure whether its worth the $.

Only to the casino which was BEAUTIFUL as well as the shops and lobby. Felt like we were in Vegas.
I hear there are kids everywhere and its very$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I have been there probably about 20 times with family and hated everytime since it has been redone and made larger. We used to go there every year for Thanksgiving. JMO> The casino is nothing great, the main hotel is very far from the beach, and overall the place is just way too expensive. Including food and beverages. We went to the Bahamas for our HM and definetly knew we did not want to stay there. It is to big for a HM. Again JMO!!!!!!!

Atlantis was our first choice for a HM, but we couldn;'t justify the $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. Without airfare, it would have run us around $6000 for the trip. We were getting the least expesive room in the place for $350/night. The meal plan we would have chosen was $89pp per day, and that only includes breakfast and dinner.
We'll go for our 10 year anniversary instead. Right now, we'll take a cruise and put the rest of the money into the downpayment for our house.
