I stayed in the Sheraton & the Westin. Both were nice, the Westin was fancier.
I really liked the Art Institute & I am not really that into art museums. The Aquarium & the Field Musuem were good, but there were also of kids & a lot of exhibits geared towards kids.
If you are looking for Chicago pizza, I reccomend Geno's East. It's kinda famous, very good & very causal.

i stayed at the Amalfi- it was AWESOME
brand new
a huge free breakfast spread is left near the elevator on EACH floor with the BEST coffe i ever had in my life (they give you a tray and you bring it back to your room)
everything about that hotel was great- the location, room, service

I used to live there. I really like the W Hotel - Lakeshore Drive. My friend recently stayed at the Indigo Hotel and really liked it as well. One of my favorite restaurants is Cafe Babareeba - a Tapas place.
