anyone been to greece the 1st week of May?

how is the temperature? it says it's mid 60's..I want to go there on my HM but I want to be able to swim and layout.. any thoughts on this?!?!
very confused right now!!!

My parents went there at the beginning of May a few years ago. They said the weather was warm, but not beach weather (the water was too cold). I've heard it is a good time to go because it's not as crowded.

I was planning on going to Greece for the HM 2nd week of May. Since I heard it wasn't beach weather I decided not to go there. I guess I'll visit some other time.

I went in August when everyone says not to go b/c it is too hot AND it was phenomenal.

I have no idea what the weather will be; I recommend going on frommer's or fodor's and asking on their message boards -- you'll probably get a more accurate answer.
