I got sick from the water in Cancun, and we are going to Jamaica for the HM, and I just want to make sure the same thing won't happen! The travel agent said they filter all the water, but I am worried...Anyone been? Any problems?

we were told DR had this problem too...the water is fine for bathing, but not drinking. Our hotel stocked us with bottled water and it was available everywhere. Some people even brush their teeth with bottled water, we did not and we were fine.
To play it safe, just drink bottled water all the time. If you are staying at an all-inclusive, it should be available at all bars in the resort

Thanks! We are going to an all-inclusive. No problems with the ice in drinks or anything? I DO NOT want to have another vacation like Mexico!

I've been there twice and I drink frozen drinks and I had no problems with the ice in the drinks. You must try a Dirty Banana...they are awesome!!!

We were just in Jamaica for our HM, and we had no problem drinking the water, although we didn't drink much of it- there was always bottled water available.

YES!! Those are SO yummy!!!!
We had no problems with frozen drinks or the ice in drinks....beverages were always served cold

I went there and didn't have a problem with the water. One suggestion: watch out for drinking alcohol during the day. (if you drink at all). I had one day where I was drinking by the pool pull- up bar, the beach bar whatever!! There are a lot of fun drinks to try!! I had a blast but I paid for it that night. Too much sun and alcohol can be a bad combination. It is very warm there!! Have a wonderful time in Jamaica, it is one of my favorite places.
