Anyone been to Montreal?

DH and I went a few years ago. We had an absolute blast! He just told me the other day how he wants to go back.
What do you want to know?

we are staying downtown.
I guess I don't know anything about Montreal so i want to know what's fun

I don't remember what part of town we stayed.. but we stayed at the Renaissance on St. Laurant. We were only a block from St. Denis where all the very cool trendy restaurants and clubs were. So for dinner, definitely hit up Blvd St. Denis and walk around.
We did SO much in 4 days:
The Biodome
The Botanical Gardens
The amusement park (La Ronde)
The casino (very crowded but fun)
The Notre Dame Basilica & walked around Old Montreal
Took a horse and carriage ride through Old Montreal
Took at bus tour around the city that took us up Mont Royal

Oh and for dinner DH and I HIGHLY recommend going to Gibbys Steakhouse in Old Montreal. It was SO good!!

ETA: we also caught Cirque du Soliel (see if they are in town, they ususally are) and we went to the underground mall! it was very cool.

we did a lot in 4 days too! I loved the Biodome & the botanical gardens & especailly the Chinese part.
We took a fery to an Island with a fort ( I like boats, DH likes forts)
We happend to be there on Canada Day, so there was a little festival thing by the water & we rode a little peddle boat & walk around watchign street entertainment. We went to a billion churches.
We went to the Parc du Mont Royal. There is a big church there & an elaborate cemetary, but skip the big cross. We got lost looking it & when we found it, it was ugly.

We ate in a fondue place that I don't know the name of , but I want to fond, b/c I am going back soon for business.

We stayed in the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth.
