anyone been to Puerto Vallarta OR Nassau in bahamas( HELP!!)

I really need suggestions.
I think we want to change our HM location. We think that Costa Rica might not offer all we are looking for. After researching, it seems like both Nassau and Puerto Vallarta ( or somewhere near there) may be the same price and offer better beaches and more to do.

PLEASE if you have been there..can you give me some advice and tell me where you stayed.

I sent you FM about PV. I've been to the Bahamas too, but it was a while ago. From what I remember, I think PV offers more. The Bahamas does have nicer beaches and casinos, if you're into that, but I think PV has more culture and would probably be a bit cheaper in terms of spending money.

Never been to PV but I went to Nassau for a wedding in May.

I thought the beaches were very nice and all of my friends from work (and spouses) loved the beach too. They can all swim (I can't) and the took under water pics of various fish and things. I think there is a coral reef close to the beach near the resort.

We stayed at Breezes all inclusive. The wedding was at Nassau Beach Club (very inexpensive hotel and nice rooms) but most guests were family of the bride (and they all lived in Nassau). A few of my coworkers stayed the the Nassau Beach Club hotel.

i went to nassau for my honeymoon and i was not a fan. It was very far from everything and unless u want to do nothing but lay out all day, it sux

Last year FH's company took us to Puerto Vallarta and stayed at the Four Season's at Punta Mita. It was beautiful. I didn't care for the town too much, but the resort was incredible. I was very pampered! Our view was incredible and the room was great. Since it was a company paid trip, I have no idea how much it costs.

I have been to PV - stayed in a private villa up on some cliffs and hiked down to the beach - I LOVED it. If you want to be immersed in a great culture, go there. The people are so nice, the food is so good and incredibly affordable, and the beaches are gorgeous!! I would not stay at one of the American resorts, but that is just me. A villa is the way to go. I would think it would be way more affordable to go there than Bahamas...but I don't know. Good luck!!

The Westin Resort & Spa, Puerto Vallarta


my only problem is the traveling
(we were looking for somthing nice and easy)
and we didn't want to stay there that long
(we are doing muliple locations)

then go to tripadvisor.com and read many many reviews about various places..

Our friends also just HMed in PV and they stayed at the Westin, they said it was awesome. They also just opened a Nikki Beach, like in Sounth Beach, at the hotel.

I've been to PV for the past 20 years since my parents own a timeshare there. It is actually where my FH and I got engaged. I love it there! They have amazing food, nice beaches, plenty to do and it's very affordable. I have also been to Nassau in the Bahamas. The water and beaches were prettier than PV but it is SOOOO much more expensive. In PV you could go out for very romantic dinners that are inexpensive. If you decide to go there please let me know. I could give you restaurant suggestions, a list of fun things to do and let you know which hotels are best. DO NOT do an all inclusive- the restaurants there are very gourmet and affordable. You don't want to miss out on them.

Our parents timeshare is fab! It also has rooms available to non-time share users. It is in a great location and most rooms come with kitchens so you don't have to eat out all your meals. It's called the Villa Del Palmar.

I stayed at the Sandals Royal Bahamian in Nassau for my honeymoon. It was amazing. And its close to the casino and downtown by cab or bus.

Hi-
I've been to the Bahamas 2X.
The first time we stayed @ Sandals Royal Bahamian. We loved it!
The only complaint i can possibly give you was that the beach was small. I would definetly go back @ some point.
The food, staff, rooms - all A+.

The 2nd time we went to the Radisson Cable Beach. The beach was fantastic!
The restaurants were pretty good. The entertainment @ night was a lot of fun.
The only bad thing I need you to know was that the airconditioning in our room ws not that strong. There were about 50 of us there for a wedding, the suites that some of my friends had were really nice. The standard rooms were ok.
The staff was very nice as well.

If you decide to go to the Bahamas definetly do the All-inclusive otherwise the food & drinks are CRAZY expensive.

Never been to PV but hear its wonderful.

I have been to Breezes in Nassau. It was fun for a few days but then it got boring because there is only one restaraunt there besides the main dining room. It was great because everything was paid for and lots of honeymooners were there. There are a lot of activities you can do from paddle boats, rock wall, trapeeze. You can take a bus to the market place and a cab to paradise island. (if you can afford it stay at the atlantis on paradise island!!!) Also there is a casino in the hotel next door to breezes. Ive heard sandals is a little more fancier than breezes. Fm me if you want more details.
