Which side is the best...Puerto Plata? Punta Cana? or Bavaro Beach? We're considering a trip in April....

my brother just got back from there.....i can ask him where he was, but i doubt you'd want his opinions.... my parents were there this past summer - they were in Punta Cana and they thought it was beautiful.....but they weren't crazy about the surrounding area....

Yeah I've heard that it isn't wise to leave the resort..which I'm fine with... I'd rather stay and lounge on the beach...drink frozen daiquaris (spelling???) I just remember someone saying one side has better water or beach..can't remember!

My brother and SIL are leaving for Punta Cana tomorrow to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary..there is a tropical storm looming over there right now..I pray that they can still go. I'll post their review when they get back next week

Punta Cana and Bavaro are better. They're actually close to each other.

I've heard good things about Punta Cana...DH and I are going to Secrets Excellence there in March! I will let you know how it is...
