I am thinking about joining one. Do you find that you save money?

Re: Anyone belong to a warehouse club?
We belong to Costco. I save money on alot of things especially diapers, wipes and formula for the baby. You have to know your prices to see if something is really worth the money.
Kraft Parmesan Grated Cheese is a great deal too, $5 for a big container.
Palmolive Dish Detergent is another great deal.
There are so many great deals. I LOVE going to see the new things all the time.

We belong to BJ's and I belong to Cosco with my mom. I have never used the Cosco one (yet), but we use BJ's all the time. DH gets his gas there, plus he stocks up on bottled water and other stuff. It is definitely worth it for us!!

These clubs are great for buying meat. They beat the hell out of the supermarkets in quality & price.

We belong to BJ's but i have to say i don't think we benefit from it.
everything comes is such big quantities that either a. it goes bad because lets face it ..you buy cheese and it is the size of a shoe box or b. i do not have the storage to keep it all.

it depends what you buy, some of the stuff you save, some of the stuff is equal/overpriced... I know that we have bj's membership and the drinks my husband gets for $8 was $10 at cosco so it made a difference for us...

We belong to BJs and we definitely get our money's worth. We get large bags of cat food and litter (we have 9 cats) and lots of paper products.

We use to belong to BJ's. Our membership expired, so we decided to join Costco. I find costco cleaner, and quicker to purchase items.

Re: Anyone belong to a warehouse club?
we have BJ's and costco. I find you save a lot of money on itms you need all the time..
paper towels napkins toilet paper tampons razor cartridges (this is a biggie!)
also eggs are cheap certain produce items frozen foods (this is hit or miss pricewise) tuna fish
Canned and jarred items I find they save you a lot of $$. Sometimes it's like ha;f price.
Oh also stuff like tide is SOOO much cheaper. Once you start buying your aundry stuff at BJ's, you'll never wan tto buy it at the groery store again. A normal bottle is $12 in the store, but at BJ's you get this HUGE thing that lasts FOREVER for $18.
Coffee= MUCH cheaper.
books are always 20% off and I know some people who swear by the elctronics there. I also know they have really great holiday items,
Sometimes it's really not cheaper, but I don't think it's ever really MORE money. The only thing is that if it's perishable sometimes you just don't need that much.
Some things come in normal sized jars, but it multipacks, and I fidn that works out really well if you have a lot of storage space. If you buy the progresso soup or goya beans, it's SO cheap when you buy the small cases!
The only time it's hard and you really have to guage it is when it's a HUGE jar or something perishable. Like the huge bags of salad or the gigantic things of mayonnaise. Like no way do we ever finish those..so I sort of elarned now what to buy in the supermarket and what to buy at BJ's.
Also pet food and kitty litter are really great, especially if you have multiple animals..
and pet beds...
Certain things are great..tuna for less $1 can, And I got 2 24oz jars of mancini roasted peppers for $5.99. That's $3 a jar. In Waldbaums they were like $4.99 PER jar.
Also, Olive oil. We buy it by the gallon, (we're italian) but even if you don't use it that often, it lasts forever.
Oh and cleaning products, like they sell 2 galllons of bleach pretty cheap, and you cna buy like a 5 pack of toothpaste, or a 3 pack of deodorant and save a lot of money. We also buy the HUGE containers of shampoo and conditioner, and softsoap, and that saves money too, you cna refilll little jars...pancake syrup..
Ok..that was long winded...sorry.HTH

We belong to Costco. I think that for some things, you can get fantastic deals, but for others, not so much. You need to know prices -like for H&BA, sometimes I get things cheaper on sale at Target. But, I get my contacts there, they are cheapest there, I get a lot of books, gifts, sometimes clothes and I have gotten tires too. I think I save enough to make it worthwhile, but I too have to be careful about not buying perishables in too large quantities.

We belong to Costco and BJ's. You have to know your prices before shopping. I sometimes find better deals on toilet paper in Stop and Shop. I get the meat and freeze it ( I have one of the vacuum sealers). I'm sure it will come in handy once the baby arrives for diapers and formula.
