Anyone block rooms at hyatt windwatch or marriott islandia?
Just wondering what rate it is possible to get if we block rooms for OOT guests. We are going to block rooms at one of these hotels, not sure which. Thanks!!

Hi!
I blocked 30 rooms at the Hyatt Regency Wind Watch Hotel in Hauppauge!
It is soooooooooo gorgeous there---I love it!
We were slotted for $150 per night.
They do not have a bridal suite, but they do have executive suits (no jacuzzi) but it is spacious and chic.
It is not free when you book rooms
Every room has a flat screen TV and awesome bed linens...white duvet covers with suede throws at the foot of the bed....very pottery barn meets pier 1.

Thanks so much for the info! I think that's where we are going to book rooms as well. I figure they won't do this, but did you ask about using their shuttle service to pick up the guests? That would be awesome but I bet they won't do it. Thanks agian for the help!

Oh also, do you know if their bar is open late? Our wedding is in the afternoon and our friends want to keep the party going at the hotel. Thanks!

We are getting our own coach bus to shuttle guests....I actually didnt even think to ask if they had a shuttle b/c I remember reading they didnt...but thank you for reminding me
As far as the Nu Lounge...they are open until 1am (I believe)...I am having a Sat. nite wedding and the sales manager said they would stay open a little later.
*Most hotels allow you to pay $$ to stay open until 4am--but for some odd reason the Hyatt built rooms right behind the bar-so it gets loud

we booked the Courtyard Marriott in Ronkonkoma We are able to keep the bar open till 2am for 100 bucks!

We had our guests and us at the Hyatt....its such a nice place. Talk to Heather over there shes great!!!
The beds are sooo comfy!!! My only compliant which i didnt even care about was my room was infested with Ladybugs! LOL I actaully thought it was cool...since when does Jan get ladybugs?!?! I thought it was a sign from my grandmother for good luck...she always said that!
Anyway we also had our breakfast there...
our rooms were 116$
Mariott wanted 99$ but the rooms and hotel just didnt compare!

the bar is open till 2am!
Theres no shuttle service there...we ended up getting our own!
Also if you do OOT bags....make sure you tell them you want them handed out when the guests check in...otherwise they charge 5$ a bag to deliver the to the room!!!!

Ooops! Sorry---I guess it is open until 2am--which is nice to know......also-I just asked my Fh and he said the shuttle is only available to and from the airport.
Also, I think $150 a night is more expensive b/c we are using the rooms for Labor Day weekend

we booked at the hyatt as well..we worked with heather..the hotel is just beautiful. since we are getting married at a peak month it was 159 a night. we blocked about 35 rooms...its so gorgeous there
only bad side
they dont give you a bridal suite for free no shuttle transportation to your reception hall. you have to find your own shuttle service

I am having my wedding at the Hamlet Wind Watch next door that very same day! We blocked 30 rooms at a rate of $160 per night, the bar is open until 2:00 am, we are planning on bringing the wedding back there ( my wedding ends at 11:30 pm) You def. need to contact the hotel asap, we blocked our rooms about 9 months ago and they had to make sure an extra bartender was on that night to accomadate my party. Perhaps I'll see you there!
ETA: Summer rates will always be more expensive then winter, I doubt you will get anything below $150...but if you do...give me a call!!!!!!!!!

I LOVE the Hyatt!! I blocked rooms there and FH and I will be staying in Presidential Suite!
