if you have can you help me out here? I want a DJ the rents want a band is there some good middle ground here? i was hoping for a little of both by having a band and dj or a band/dj combo to accomplish this. what do you guys think?

I am booking with Bravura and having Cityscapes their jazz trio perform during cocktail hour, and I'm having a dinner singer with keyboards. Because I wanted a band, and FH wanted a DJ this was our compromise.

theres a company called FusionDL theyre located in smithtown. they have this really interesting concept.. they edit the original artists music and take out the drums, sax, etc and then they have live musicians playing the parts that were edited out... its really hard to explain but its soo cool. it sounds like exactly what youre looking for, i would def check them out.. FH and i liked them but it was a little too high for our budget.
