Mine is May 15th but didn't book the restaurant yet. Waiting for FMIL to do this.

Mine will be be May 15th as well, I actually went this weekend to get some info for my FMIL but I think she has a place in mind so I dont think I have to worry about it, are your FILs planning it?

We're not really having a RD. We are having a GTG so that the families can meet each other. We're doing that on the 22 of May. We might just have a BB-Q since John & I would have to pay for it.

We're having a very informal one in the Church Auditorium right after the rehearsal. I'm still looking for a caterer that can do Hatian cuisine. I have a couple of leads tho

Since we are getting married on a Friday, we are doing ours May 9th - 1 week before because all the wedding party members have to travel and they didnt want to have to travel out on a Wednesday nite - Location: Unknown

Like tracy, we are not having a RD, there's no rehearsal since we will be married at the hall. we are having a family dinner fri nite 5/2. We are paying for it also, and this was one argument that FH won. BBQ is a geat idea! we have reservations at Annabella's in farmingdale

liz- My mom's best friend is Haitian. Whenever they have a party they have the best food!!!! Do you wnat me to ask her where they get it?

Jenn are you making the invites or buying them? I really loved that 'practice makes perfect' invite but I was thinking I might be able to do it on the computer.... just another project to add to my list hahaa

We're getting married at the hall and it's just too hard to do that way...

we are having ours on may 21...wedding is may 24. the only time it could have been done. we are going to have dinner at Charlie Browns steakhouse in New Hyde Park.

Misty- I wish I wasn't having one. at first I thought it was a nice idea, take the familys out... but really there's no rehearsal, no obligation, another thing to worry about and something else to spend money on! Im sorry if I sound bitter here (can we say STRESSED) but really it is so not necessary, yet I came up with the idea months ago and it seems to be important to FH. More pressure, more money

Our rehersal is May 22, we are actually going with his mom this weekend to look at places. She's not familiar with the area so she asked us for our help is choosing out a place. In the end she'll make the final decision, but at least we have a little say in it!
