Anyone booked at new sandals resort?

I was looking into Sandals new Whitehouse resort. The prices are great and it looks gorgeous but am nervous about a place no one has tried yet.

Has anyone else booked rooms here?

I have a question ladies I was told that going to Jamaica is not that safe that you literally have to stay in your resort; is that true? never been there I would love to go but I only hear is negative things from friends and family, what are your thoughts on this?

My mother told me the same thing. That's why I am hesitant to book here. I want to be able to go off site and do stuff, I'm an explorer. Granted I want to lay around and be lazy, but I'm always interested in local history.

Well, sandals does offer a lot to do on site; scuba diving, water sports, etc., which is why we chose them. If you want to explore, as long as you do guided tours, you'll be fine. It just isn't recommended that you walk off on your own.

I have a lot of friends have been to Jamaica and they said their is so much to do off site, and there is nothing to worry about, the people are friendly, and you can rent car or take a cab anywhere, so I wouldnt worry I am not, and if you have any doubt ask your travel agent and do some research online
