Anyone buy their own arch?

Florists have quoted me from $350-$750 on arches! And I'm only renting them!!!

Has anyone bought their own or borrowed? I found some online for less than $100!!!

I went w/o an arch, and just got baskets of flowers (one on each side of us)
I think vintagegirl made her own.

I know vintagegirl did, she decorated it herself too and it came out really, really nice. You can get the arch from Michael's or AC Moore, use the coupon. My mom bought a garland at the Christmas tree shops and we decorated mine with interlaced garland and tulle. The ceremony is so short, save the money and make something yourself!

We bought our arch at Michael's. Usually it's around $39.95, but my mom found it on sale at the Michael's near us a long time ago...AND she had a 40% off coupon. The total of the arch was $16!!! no joke!

The lights are included, but the tulle is not. I haven't taken ours out so I don't know how stable it is...but it looked similar to the one the florist was going to have us rent for $200

I know I definitely should be in the wedding business cuz everything is so marked up! Yeah I went to the florist and I wasn't too impressed with the arch they had...so I figured I would buy my own...I found some affordable ones under $100 and some silk garlands with greenery and I'm sure I can decorate it for under $125!!!!

The only issue is getting arch to the place...and having someone set it up...hmmm...

yeah i must have spent 60 dollars on supplies..
20 for the arch and then i got really nice fake flowers at ac moore.. you need good ones.. not tacky flowers.. have a friend come over and have a blast designing it!!
