I know we don't usually eat from them - what do you think?

Re: Anyone choosing not to have a carving station?
Yes!!!!!! It's standard in our pkg, but we did not want it. We got a few other things added in instead.

We opted out of having a carving station, and instead added more passed hors d'oevrs.

We aren't really have one either -- I am not a fan. I don't think anyone will care if you don't have one -- I mean it is a wedding. I sure you'll be just as married with out it.

We are having SO much CH food, we didn't want it. and when we brought that up to the BM, he said that'll save you $5 pp!!

We aren't having one....there's so much food at a wedding, no one's gonna notice.

Re: Anyone choosing not to have a carving station?
We're having one b/c it will probably be popular with the guests, but the BM saw we were having problems agreeing on the 3 stations (out of 6 choices, I chose 3 and FI chose the other 3) so she threw an extra one in. I see the carving station as my extra that I could personally do without.

Sorry to intrude as an '06 bride, but I wanted to comment on this.
We eliminated the carving station - we never eat from there and I really don't want to see a hunk of dead animal sitting under a heat lamp - and we eliminated the lamb chops from the passed hors d'oeuvres and we got a full Vienesse hour for free.
