fh and i are trying to narrow down honeymoon options.. would like to do something on land followed by a cruise.. but we figure we need a cruise that leaves from an island.. does that exist? lol. any suggestions? any one doing something similiar?

YES!
My FH and I just did! We went to Barbados for 3 days, and hopped on a 7 day cruise, then back to barbados for another 4 days! It was amazing!
There are tons of cruises that pick up in the islands!

FH and I are going to Sandals Jamaica for 6 days, then flying to Florida and catching a Royal Caribbean 7 day western caribbean cruise =) Pick a cruise first...then figure in your land vacation!

There are also cruises that leave out of Puerto Rico that you can take.

This is EXACTLY what we are doing. I'll lay it out for you: We are flying to Puerto Rico for a 7day Southern Carribean cruise, then after we are flying over to Aruba to the Occidental (all-inclusive) for 5 days. We are very excited!!! FH and I did all the research online for weeks. Then we used Irene at Liberty Travel in Commack and she got us an even better deal. My GF said TA's can get you upgrades because of thier connections. GL!

Yeah! We're doing a long weekend in New Orleans and then a 7 night cruise from there! FH wanted to go to New Orleans and I wanted to cruise the Western Caribbean - good compromise I would say!
