Anyone do small potted plants as favors?
Re: Anyone do small potted plants as favors?
I think it can be so cute, and do it yourself!!! You'll save big money and you can always call upon your girls for help. It could be a fun afternoon just before the wedding
Re: Anyone do small potted plants as favors?
My cousin had them as her CP and favor and they were very pretty. I think she had them done through the florist and I know she was on a very tight budget. Find out how much it would be to do it yourself and then ask your florist for their price. It may be less or for a little extra it could be one less thing for you to worry about doing.

i thought about it too and one florist told me that it was more expensive than i had thought. i don't know if she was right and i booked another florist.

I think that's a great idea. I love begonias and had thought of doing this a while back. I got a small begonia at petals in locust valley for like 5 bucks a few years back. Then if you wanted to you could buy those clay pots when they are on sale at Michael's. I think that makes a great favor and it is within reason.

Yes! Doing dahlias. They won't actually be in bloom in time for the wedding, though, so they're not our centerpieces. But, yes, those are our favors, courtesy of my dad.

We are getting African Violets from Hicks. They will be put together by florist to create a centerpiece and at the end of the night each couple takes one as a favor. VERY inexpensive. Saved tons of $$$, you have your favor and centerpiece in one!

I saw this idea in Martha Stewart and loved it. I'm playing around with giving potted plants as well.
