i am debating on whether to do placecards or seating chart board. anyone have pics of the board? or pros and cons to either? thanks in advance

I did a seating chard board and it was a god send!! It made it soo easy to move people around and visualize where certain people were. What we did was draw the floor plan on a large piece of oak tag. Write all the guests names on post it flags and stick them to the board.

thats awesome! no, i mean the one at the rh, that you put up in a frame. i've seen some ppl do it and it looks so elegant. just wanted to see pics of them or wonder if that caused any issues, instead of doing placecards

i could be wrong... but i think the OP is talking about instead of doing place cards, doing those huge boards with everyone's name and table number listed on it so they just check that to see where they are sitting... right?
i didnt do it, but im sure there are girls here who have...

Fh and I were going to get that. We loved how it looked. The only problem was we needed all our RSVP's right away so we can have it made up and our RSVP date was Dec 1st. I am still waiting on a few RSVP's. Also once you have it made you can not make any changes to it. At least with the places cards if you need to move people around last min you can. Once the frame and everything is done it is done. Don't get me wrong my fh and I really want to get that ourselves but there was no way we could get them the list of the people who are coming to them with in the first week of Dec. So we are doing the place card thing instead. You can do the votive candle place cards. I thought about doing that idea too. Google both ideas with images and a ton of them will come up.

I did that - it came out awesome! Made my life a thousand times easier than having to print out a bunch of seating cards. Just bought the frames on sale at Macy's and printed the list out on my color printer at home.
