Anyone do the zone diet where they deliver your food?
My friend is doing this. Its expensive but the menu looks great. I just wonder if it works.

It sounds good, but its like $70 a day or something like that! And what do you do if you want to go out to eat or you are going to a party?? I would rather pay $70 a month for a good gym membership..

I've done it twice.
The first time was around 7 years ago when the company was just starting, I met with Ed Faustino (he's the founder) he took my measurements and calucated what I needed to eat to be at my ideal, etc. I was happy with it, but after a month I realized that I could prepare these meals or stay with 'the zone' program myself...I got down to my ideal and I just stuck with it on my own,
Second experience: About a year ago I contacted the company again. I didn't meet with anyone, they just took some info and I was supposed to start that Monday...well, I didn't get the food delivered that Monday. I called and complained, they said it would be there the next day...Tuesday, I didn't get any food. FInally on Wednesday I got the food...I was happy, because I was able to start the program. Well, two days later..,,NO FOOD!!! With this program you just can't start and stop like that...that's what being ' In The Zone' is all about! You keep your bloods sugars in 'normal' ranges...your meals all need to be that 30:30:40, etc...so, by not getting the meal on Friday, and not being prepared to cook for my zone diet with school...I went off the program. So essential, the following week I had to start all over...very frustrating!!! Totally unreliable!
Then, there were days that I received spoiled food a few times.
IT IS TOTALLY NOT WORTH THE $$$$$$$$$ either! You can follow the zone yourself. I have the name of an excellent nutritionist who uses The Zone principles...let me know if you want more info...he teaches you how to eat in the Zone...because once you go off this food prepared for you service, you are back at square one trying to figure out how to eat in the zone.
FM me if you want more info about my nutritionist...he's fantastic!!! Following his recommendations, he got me down to a size 2, even a 0 in some clothes.

There is a cookbook, but you don't even have to get that involved with making elaborate recipes...it's pretty simple once you get the hang of it (my nutritionist gave me a chart that broke everything down very easily)....after the first week I got the hang of it.

I was watching Celebrity Doets on VH! last nighht & was talkign about the ZOne w/ Fh. I'm so lazy, I'd do it if it wasn't so $$$. Thanks for the tips abotu the service though.
I am toying with the idea of a nutritonist, there is a place on my street, that is giving free consultaions, but I'm a litle frightened. The $, is part of it and I'm not at good at following directions.
