Re: anyone doing 2nd dress for reception??
I did a second dress for the last hour of the reception and after party. We did Rock Band (the video game) as the entertainment for the after party, and opened the night with a performance by me, DH, our BM and my MOH! The dress was by Sarah Seven Shop She custom makes the dress for you. It takes about 6 weeks, and they range from like $298-$498. ETA: My point with the Rock Band was I couldn't drum in my ballgown! So I knew I had to do a short dress for the after party!

this is the dress im in love with as a 2nd dress. I actually want to have my mom's dress transformed into something similar to this. I love all the art decor details in this dress and the pleated tulle on the bottem. It goes perfect with my personality and also perfect with the decor at chateau briand. (very art deco)

Re: anyone doing 2nd dress for reception??
I thought a lot about this-
I think if my dress had been a ballgown I would definitely have changed into a fun party dress. Since my dress is fitted I didn't think there was a need to change, but that's just me.
I love my dress so much that I couldn't dream of taking it off that day. I may even sleep in it afterwards!!

I'm getting a second dress for the reception and the after party. I'm a party girl and a big dress and train would have stop me from burning up the dance floor. lol.

I thought about it but didn't want to think about taking my original dress off! Also I didn't want to spend more money on something you would only wear once and for a couple of hours...

Re: anyone doing 2nd dress for reception??
Thinking about it only because my first one is cathedral and traditional A line. I wanted something more fitted/mermaid and fun for reception. I am taking pics before ceremony and to my cocktail hour so I will have at least fours hours in 1st! Here's the dress I am thinking about that is under 100 bucks! I may have my tailor put in tulle halter straps to match bottom.

I tried this dress at Gabriella's! Love this dress.
I don't have a second dress, exactly, but my gown kind of transforms. Meaning, I have a tulle skirt that ties with a bow around my gown and after our first dance I will remove the tulle to reveal my gown! I have a blingy belt to throw on too at the waist where the skirt was. So, it feels like a wardrobe change. I love it!
