my father/daughter dance my FH's mother son dance my mother/daughter dance
I was thinking of doing a sibling dance where I would dance with my two brothers (half song with one/half song with other) while my FH danced with his two sisters (again... half and half).
I know it's a lot of time to take for special dances, but why should I care about taking 15 minutes out of a reception to honor our family? I danced with my brother at his wedding, and I think it would be nice to do this for our brothers/sisters at ours. I think they'd be honored!
What do you think? Any song suggestions for siblings?

I think that is a really nice idea!!!! If you want to do it.. do it.. it's your day and I'm sure your brothers will be so excited about you asing them to do that. I know mine would!

Re: Anyone doing a sibling dance at the wedding?
DH was in a weddnig last weekend and they did this... the bride has twin brothers who are 18 and shes very close to... she danced to part of a song with one and then the other one came in.... they did it really fast though- didn't even finish the whole song between the two of them... it was maybe a minute and half dance with each... but it was sooo cute, and i'm sure they got some great pics! i wouldn't worry about the time- like you said, you should honor your family. at this wedding, they did their first dance, the father.daughter dance, mother/son dance, bride dance with her brothers... best man toast, his father gave a toast, her father gave a toast, her grandfather gave a toast.... AND they did a photo montage in the beginning PLUS a video recap of the day at the end of the reception... and we still had time to dance, so yearh, all the special stuff you want can still be done

I am super close with my brother and I think i'll end up dancing with him at some point, but it won't be planned. We have a lot of 'fav songs' but I think it is a very sweet gesture.

I guess it depends on the siblings' desires as well. My brother is my best friend, but I think he'd rather do a headstand for my entire wedding than have a slowdance with me- haha. He's just not into that type of stuff, and honestly, it'd be kind of awkward for me slow dancing with him...which is funny because we are very affectionate w/ each other. But, it depends on the family for sure!

I'm dancing with my sister bc our father passed away and i will not have a father/daughter. My dj is making a photo montage and I'm going to play it with a nice song (I have a few in mind) and we're going to dance together. I think it's a nice idea.

I'm close with my brother too, but he certainly would not want to be the center of attention. I think I'd have more of a shot of getting his best friend to dance with me than him. It definitely does depend on the family.

Re: Anyone doing a sibling dance at the wedding?
my biggest regret is not doing this. Dh's sisters raised him because both parents died when he was very young so those were his 'parent' dance, I danced with my dad but I never danced with my brother and to this day I get so upset about it.
