Anyone doing a signiture drink at the ch/reception?
How are you doing this?? are you having the waiters at you hall pass it around and say something of having a sign up by the bar... I need some ideas!

I'm going to have waiters passing it around as well as the sign on the bar. If it's not too pricey, I am going to get a bunch of napkins with the recipe printed on it too.

We're doing Margaritas! :) Not sure if they will be passed around or just sitting somehwhere with a sign yet..

Yes mine is Apple Martini. This is what I had to drink on me and FH's second date.

My hall is taking care of it. They'll print the name of the drink on a sign in a frame (like a table sign) and have a sample drink set next to it.

I was going to do a mini drink menu along with the dinner menu.
But I had two original signature drinks planned out -- one was going to be called Bridezilla and the other was Groomzilla. One for the bride and one for the groom, of course! I made up the recipes myself.
We never did it because we just ran out of time and I didn't feel like doing the menus myself!

I'm doing that 'Something Old, New, Borrowed, Blue' drink menu that will be on the bar and maybe have one on the tables. I have a template for it on my computer at home if you want it Maxine.
I'm not sure how the signature drink passing thing works though. I thought about having a pink drink (shocking, I know ). For my 'something blue' drink, it's actually going to say 'Something (Tiffany) Blue' and it will be a Hypnotiq Martini--those things are great.

I'm not sure if this will be considered signature, but we are having are using a special champagne as our first toast,. We both tried it during the weekend we got engaged, so we are going to incorporate it into our wedding.

Probably only on the napkins...the sign will be just the name.

we didn't have alcohol at our reception so we did a non-alcoholic signature drink that represented our honeymoon. I bought little umbrellas for the drinks too. they were a hit!

We had Sangria as our signature drink. When you walk into Flowerfield for your CH they pass around their own signature drinks and then we added ours Sangria to the passed drinks

I've seen it in wedding mags, but it seemed more like something do when you didn't have an open bar? So you have them passed? That would be cool.

I'm going to design a nice sign with the drink featured at each bar. Maxine, I was thinking you could make your own sign using your monogram. To resemble one of your menus. Do you know what drink you had in mind?

We had an open bar and paased drinks but only certain drinks. The sangria was what we added to the passed drinks. For us it was not extra.

What a great question!!! I am very interested in more ideas about this...Could I just put a sign at the bar saying what the signature drink of our reception is??
