Anyone doing invites for the RD?

If so does anyone have a good wording ideas??

I have one that I like but I am just trying to get some other ideas.
THANKS

I found really pretty snowflake paper that I plan on using that comes with matching snowflakes envelops but I am just not sure how to word it and I am looking for some ideas about putting a nice saying on them.

I purchased ones at party city like a year before our RD, but they were so cheap, like $2 for 40. I filled those in and sent them out

I did them for my RD. I bought them in the store and printed them myself, and did a beatiful script on the envelope as well. I did have a pic on my web page, but i took it down because it had my phone # on there! But I came up with a very cute saying to go on there, and for the BM luncehon I did invites too, with a really cool saying! they came out pretty! they make the RH more formal too, which is always a good thing!

i bought them i think at party city.....and they were those common ones with the 2 hearts on the top, put them in the printer, did up a nice script font, same w/ the envelopes. the price wasnt bad. maybe $25 for one pack (shouldn't need mpre than 1 pack), they come w/ thanlk u cards too, which are always good to have extra.... ;)

Practice makes perfect,
It's true what they say.
Please come for a run through,
Before our big day!

Please be at the church
At 5:00 o'clock on the dot.
Where Alana and Alex
Will soon tie the knot!

We'll practice the ceremony
And iron out the kinks,
Then it is off to _____________
To enjoy some dinner and drinks!

Alex popped the question
Alana said yes
Everything is done
from the hall to the dress
only one thing remains
for our day to be great
Practice makes Perfect
Jan 2rd is the day
We'll practice the ceremony
and iron out the kinks
then it's off to ______
for some dinner and drinks

please join the bride and groom at 5:00 at St. Dominics Chapel

Re: Anyone doing invites for the RD?

The invite doesn't indicate the place of the rehearsal b/c many of the people invited to the RD don't go to the rehearsal. You give rehearsal information by word of mouth.

My parents hosted my both of my brothers' rehearsal dinners and this was the wording on the invite:

Maureen and Jim XXXXXXX
cordially invite you to a
wedding rehearsal dinner in honor of
their son
GROOM'S FIRST NAME
and
BRIDE FULL NAME
on
DATE
at
TIME
PLACE
Please RSVP by DATE
PHONE

Hope that helps.

ETA - If you're hosting it yourself, you can just put 'You are cordially invited to a wedding rehearsal dinner in honor of BRIDE and GROOM....'

This is the poem I used. I bought blank cards from AC Moore and printed them at home and sent them out. On the inside of the card I put Please join the bride and groom at 3:00 PM and something about spouses included at dinner.
