Anyone doing their own makeup?

I'm undecided if I should have my makeup done or just do it myself. I am very good at applying my own makeup but I don't know if someone else will do a better job.. but then again I really don't trust people with that kinda stuff. What if it looks horrible on me? Does anyone have the same problem, or any suggestions? Thanks

im the same way!!! i had a trial a few yrs ago for my brothers wedding and i HATED it!! so im scared to get it done again. i also wear makeup everyday so im used to doing it and i like it. i will book a trial and see how it goes but if i hate it im DEF doing it myself lol

i did my own makeup for my wedding. i had two trials--they were good but it wasn't anything i couldn't do on my own. i went to mac and spent a decent amount of money on all new makeup and then used it for the wedding. the woman at mac helped me pick everything out and showed me how to use everything. i think it ended up looking great on the wedding day--my only regret is that i didn't reapply my lipstick/gloss more often!

I am having the same dilemma. the girl I used to go to at the laura mercier counter for 5 years left. I would go to her if I was going to a wedding etc. And she did an amazing job. I can do a pretty good job applying myself but just wondering if she would do it better. I also want to look like myself. so torn. I may go to Laura Mercier and buy a whole bunch of stuff and go for it.

I hateee how people do my makeup. I feel like whenever I get it done, I look like a different person and not at all what I want so I'm doing it myself! It's the only way I'll know for sure that I'm getting what i want, lol.

I am thinking of doing my own, I know my mom wants me to get someone to do it for me, but most of the people I have gone to when I get makeup done make me look like a raccoon. I am not a fan of eyeliner under the eye, and they keep putting black eyeliner on.

If I were good at it, and had products I knew would last all day/night, I would DEFINITELY do my own. I'm terrible at it, and have crappy stuff that doesn't stay . . . . I put on a little blush and some lipstick for work, and that's about it, and for the nights out on weekends, my makeup's practically gone when I get home, even when I 'do it up' so I can't be trusted to do 'photoworthy' makeup. For me, it's a necessary expense, but if it were not, I'd forego it!!

I'll be doing my own makeup - I just don't want to look too done up and I feel like I do a good enough job with it to forego spending all that money.

I am doing my own - since my second job is being a Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant! I'm choosing all new colors, and will do a few trials with pics and then decide which colors i like best. I know I will go a bit heavier on the foundation than usual and I will be applying all of my oil-blotting products - but other than that, everyone always says my makeup looks great, so why spend the $$ for someone else to do it??? FM me if you need help!

i want to make sure i look like me on my wedding day, just a little enhanced and i dont normally wear much makeup at all. My sister is really into stuff like so i will ask her to do mine.

One of my girls is going to do it.... I hardly wear makeup, and I'm afraid that a trial will just give me too much. One of my bridesmaids is good and has done mine before so she's gonna do it
