yes, but its a friday wedding. my church does not have the rehersal a week or two in advance.

I am having the rd on Thursday for a Saturday wedding. I think there are lots of pros. First, it costs less if you are having it at a restaurant. Also, many restaurants won't hold a large reservation for Friday evening.
If your RD is on Thursday then you can relax a bit Friday evening before the big day.

Alot of people have them on Thursdays, (I work for a restaurant) & most of the RD we book are for thursday nights

I am! My Saturday wedding is at 10am, so having it the night before would not be good! I think it should be just fine, plus the night before I am going to be a wreck!!

mine is on a sunday and the RD is on a thursday - the church will only have it on a thursday, unless you fight with them, which I really dont want to!

My Church only does it on Thursday or Friday night. I'm having it a week before the wedding and that weekend is labor day weekend. So that picked the Thursday. But if it had to be the week of the wedding, I still dont think i'd do it the night before (friday night) too much last minute stuff to get done

I'm not sure yet. We have a Saturday morning ceremony and I really did not want to do much but veg on Friday. My thought was to do it Thursday so I can have time for last minute details/emergencies on Friday but with 2 BM's, a GM and a ring bearer coming in from Florida (not sure if they will arrive on Thursday or Friday) I guess it depends on them.
We are doing an easy BBQ in they yard with just BP and imediate family (which pretty much all are in the BP) so it can be in the afternoon.

I'm getting married on a Sunday evening, and our rehearsal and dinner is all set for Thursday evening before the wedding. All but one of our OOT BP members has confirmed they will be in NY for the rehearsal.

Isn't the tradition that you don't spend the night togehter not that you don't see each other the night before???
