Anyone done Christmas shopping?

I went Christmas shopping two days in a row and I cant get it done I am not going to mention how much I charged on my credit card yes it is the most wonderful time of the year but why does it have to cost so much?

I started early this year because we will be having christmas eve dinner at our place so I will have other things to do I went to Crate and Barrel yesterday, it was crazy, so many people but I managed to pick few nice gifts...

This year Christmas seems to have come way too soon. Maybe with the wedding madness starting. I have 3 weddings in the next 11 months. My best friends in which I am in the MOH, Lori0517's in August in which I am a bridesmaid and then MINE! So much planning...and what feels like so little time.

FH and I are giving joint gifts this year to save some $ and we are doing easy things like Gift certificates and show tickets. No time to shop and even if had time or Patience for the store, which I don't, I am hardly able to walk thanx to this stupid ankle injury I have been dealing with since July. Crossing my fingers that I will be walking down the aisle with no cane and no drugs...

we havent even started yet

its going to be tight, since our wedding is so sonn after the holidays, but everyone in our family has told us not to worry about it- they all know what our situation is.

we were thinking of, instead of buying everyone all different cheap gifts, that maybe we'd think of something special, and creative, to make for everyone, that was personal from us, but wouldnt break the bank?

any ideas???

I HATE X-mas shopping - I am a very indecisive person when it comes to buying for people, so as much as I LOVE the Christmas, and LOVE shopping, I hate SHOPPING FOR CHRISTMAS!!!

I am ALMOST done- I have three people who are halfway done and one that I am kinda clueless about! I was out from 9-6:30 the day after Thanksgiving and a good part of the day that Saturday as well!

I went to do some yesterday but came home with a blazer, 2 shirts and a pair of jeans for myself
but they were all on sale!

but i'll be home for a few weeks before x-mas w/o a job, so i'll get it all done then... with my none existant money

i am almost done. i have 4 more people to get. i am the same way, everytime i go christmas shopping i come home with stuff for myself. yesterday i got a sweatsuit from aeropastale, a c.d. and some underwear.

I am about 1/2 done. Can't believe I have so much left to buy, but at least I picked up my secret Santa gift yesterday!

How about making personalized tree ornaments for all the special people in your life. For someone who likes tennis, do Santa with a racket, etc. and add names and year...on the back you can write Made With Love By...

I was thinking of doing that also. You can get the things you may need from places like WalMart (they have a good craft dept) or A.C. Moore which happens to be a favorite store of mine. They have so many little goodies.

Its inexpensive in the grand scheme of things and will be a lot of fun if you have some evenings free to do it.

awwww awesome idea!!! i was also thinking about baking cookies or something (i cant cook for my life, but i can bake... sometimes)... well, i got a stand up mixer for my shower, so i'm itching to use it so i was also thinking of making decorated glass jars? ugh,,, im so bad with these things... at random times, ill have good ideas, but that doesnt seem to be working right now

well i havent even started and i have no idea what to get anyone. plus just like liz, JCMsGirl05, I have 5 weddings including mine in 05, starting with in feb right up to oct. JCMsGirl05, I am BM in. money is an issue, plus with the new job no holiday bonus this yr, I am uncreative so making gifts wont work. I told james he needs to sit down and make a list so we know who to buy for it and what we are buying so we dont go overboard. yikes!!!
