Looking for advise from anyone who has already done it...or plans on doing it.
My concerns are: 1: When to have the flowers arrive (3 days before?) 2: Keeping them 'alive' (put them in a room w/A/C & a humidifier? - & at what % & temp?) 3: Delivery & set up
Is it really worth it?? I'd love to do them myself....but very concerned...for the obvious!
Thank you!

Re: Anyone done their own? Fresh Flower Centerpieces?
My friend's sister just did this. They purchased the loose flowers from the florist and bought tall glass vases and the RH put the flowers in the vase. She had two long-stemmed flowers in each vase so it was an easy thing to do. She only paid $2 a flower. This was in Philly though.

I attended a wedding last year where the bride & groom ordered sunflowers from 1800flowers or flowersdirect....
Their wedding was on a Sunday, the flowers came in on a Thursday, and they put them in water in their vases and they were perfect on the day of.
Mind you, they used sunflowers and it usually takes a few days for them to bloom.

I was thinking of doing this myself as well. I may be going down to the flower district for a trial run soon to order flowers, pick them up a day or so before my wedding day would be, and see how long they last (or still look nice). Then I'll be able to tell how much leeway I have when the time comes. Also, it doesn't hurt to ask a florist/wholesaler their opinions on which flowers last how long and what kind of condition they need to be kept in so they look their best.
