Anyone drive a Hyundai Elantra?

So, we decided that I can finally get a new car. I was considering a few - Elantra, Saturn Astra, Mazda 3 - and out of all 3 I love the Elantra best. DH drives a Sonata now, and he loves it!! I'm still not allowed to drive it Anyone have any experience with them? TIA!!

My friend just bought a hyundai elantra this week! She said she had a longer warranty and a better price than the honda.

FH has one (2005) and he loves it! It's a cute little car too, from the few times I have driven it

Oh, and I have a 2007 Mazda3 and I love that, too!

i dont but my mother drives the sonota and LOVES it she was super happy with the service and the quality of car she was getting for her money, (got the sunroof and other features included where other cars would cost an arm and a leg more for these things) to be tottaly honest her first ever (in her whole life) new car was the hyundai excel a million years ago when then came out then she had us kids and ended up with a van now that we are older her 2nd brand new car was the sonata i think that says a lot for hyundai!

We drive one! We bought 2) 07's over the summer. I love them. We used to have the Sonata. I loved that one also. The only reason why we did not get Sonata was we did not like the new 07's. HTH

Thanks everyone!!!! This will be my first new car, so I like to hear as many opinions as possible. Anyone I've spoken to w/ a Hyundai of any kind loves their car, it's very reassuring hearing so many positive opinions!!

my mom has a sonata and loves it, one of my brothers has an elantra and love it (also beats it into the ground) but loves it.

i had a 99 elantra - i LOVED that car, i called it my egg BUT it was a piece of crap and it had a lot of problems - we ended up donating it to charity in 2006 because it wasnt even worth it to keep it or sell it....but i LOVED it, it was like my little go-cart...i still wish i could drive it

I used to drive one and had soo many problems. It was most likely a lemon but the people at the dealership could never figure out what was wrong. I ended up getting a free transmission out of it even though that wasn't even the problem. I got into an accident with it and totaled it too and there wasn't really that much damage to it. This was last year so maybe the new ones are better. I do have to say that the warranty rocks and I was really happy to have it after having so many problems.

FH bought a '07 Elantra and it give him great gas mielage and it's been a good car so far. It's comfortable to drive...I've driven it with him in the car of course and liked it.

i have an elantra and the only thing i like about it is the gass mialage.... my battery dies all the time for no reason. plus living up in buffalo i feel safer driving our pathfinder especially if i'm out with my daughter
