I didn't watch this episode of AI but I remember her from last year. All I can say is I never listened to entire song but her. She was too painful to listen to! I still can't believe she won. Her family/friends must've voted for her numerous times each episode!

Ha Ha! I couldn't agree more! BTW her screeching and screaming reminds me of Mariah Carey - I can't get through any of her songs either!

This is so funny .. the show was on in the office .. with NO SOUND .. and I got the impression it was AWFUL .. and y'all confirmed it for me!!!

I didn't like her last year either .. I thought Latoya London was the best!

Anyway .. I think AI pushed both Ruben & Fantasia .. that they got unfair advantages from the promotion by how the show handled them .. much like Constantine is getting this season .. he's been shoved in the faces of America since his audition!!

And if Ruben & Fantasia were so great .. why do I NEVER hear their songs on the radio????

I hear Kelly Clarkson all the time .. but not anyone else from Idol .. not Ruben, not Fantasia. I don't even hear Clay anymore .. or Kimberly Locke .. and I really thought she was better than Clay & Ruben.

What's even more ridiculous .. didn't they say at the time that Fantasia was their best Idol???? I didn't even think she should have been Idol .. fagettabout being 'best' Idol!!

Aw, heck. I like Fantasia! I like her style and I think her voice is cool and 'edgy.' Remember when she sang 'Summertime' last season? That rocked.

And weren't they saying that everyone from last season got a record contract? I haven't heard of anyone else.

You heard Clay when he had an CD. He doesn't have a new CD out now. I am sure you will hear him when he does. His following is huge. Kelly makes me want to pull each hair out. ICK!

People are going to hate me for this but despite Ruben's obvious talent, he is hard to market. His music is genre specific and does not get much in the way of air play. I also think that he could not withstand the rigors of a hardcore tour. Tours support and push CD sales. He would have to lose weight to be able to do that or he could really cause some damage to his heart. Trust me on this one. I used to be 115 pounds heavier than I am now and I couldn't do half the things I can do now - things as simple as walking up a flight of stairs without gasping for air. I hope he improves himself for his sake.

Fantasia? Ickier than ICK!

LaToya is going to be singing at the Roosevelt Field mall on April 15 from 5-9? By Macys. I just read it in Newsday. I forgot who else she was with but it was with another ex-AI contestant.

My boss LOVES Fantasia...says she reminds him of Macy Gray, who he also loves. I can't stand either of them.

I hated her last season. I am glad I missed her horrible perfromance last night...DH said he changed the channel because she was so bad...she doesn't sing she SCREAMS.

I thought she had faded into the wood work.

I couldn't stand her last season and she was awful last night! All she did was scream, it was horrible. Plus I hate her stage presence, when she bends over and squats - it annoys the crap out of me.

I think Kelly did a great job now of becoming an artist on her own and distancing herself from AI. Clay has been pretty successful too, but the rest - I would change the station if I heard it on the radio, but I never do hear it on the radio.

God help us if Constantine is the next winner.

OMG!!! The first think I said to DH after her performance was 'what the heck was that, just sounded like a bunch of screaming to me'...i've heard her entire CD cuz people at my job here love her and let me tell you I want to run out the door everytime I hear it. she is horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved Latoya London! and I also like Kelly Clarkson. I bought her new CD.

Fantasia looked terrible last night....
