Anyone else....

I ordered my dress back in late october. The woman at the shop told me it would take 15 weeks to come in. Now almost 8 months later it is still not here. Every time I call the owner says that she is calling daily and that she is waiting for maggie sottero to call her about the ship date. Should I be worried? I thought I chose a reputable store, but I feel like they aren't telling me the truth. Any ideas?

I wouldn't worry. Do you have a lot of work to do to it? My wedding is in 37 days and since I only need the length altered and a bustle done, I'm going this week for my first fitting.

yea i ordered mine in AUGUST the woman said it's due to come in january and it still isn't here

Who is your dress co? I ordered a maggie sottero and apparently they start manufacturing the dress according to your wedding date, not the date you ordered the dress.

I wouldn't mind this so much if the store had told me that when I ordered!!! Instead of telling me 15 weeks and giving me attitude when I call and ask if there has been any word

YES! I knew there had to be someone else besides me out there in this situation. She called last week and said the girls who ordered dresses right before mine came in so I'm keeping my fingers crossed but infebruary she said my dress would be in by may. I don't have to tell you how that worked out

do you get told that she will call you back and then never recieve that phone call. I even gave her my cell number so she could call me while I'm at work. I feel better knowing that someone else is going through it too (though it stinks that you have to deal with it as well)

yup, sometimes she calls back, sometimes she doesn't, either way she never has any good news Does she keep telling you it should be here any day?

So sorry girls!! Can you call Maggie's people yourself??? Like the corporate office? Not sure if this is even an option, but I just wanted to check.

I have heard that some stores do not place the order with the dress co when you order it with the store. They wait for some odd reason. Could this have happened with you?

I hope your dress comes in soon- I ordered mine in January from Bridal Elegance- but its a different designer- I have no idea when it comes in.

Maybe Maggie is having production problems? Is there any way to find out? I remember a few brides who chose Watters & Watters for the BM's dresses were notified of a delay.

same problem and same designer!!!!
the owner of shop i used says company gets behind but not to worry they always have the dress a least 6 weeks before the wedding date,
ps she also put a different/earlier date on the order form to give an extra cushion

so dont worry, it will be here soon!!!!!
