Booking a block of rooms at a hotel for out of towners? How much of a discount do you usually get? What should I know before I look into this?
I think i'm going to but I have no idea how to go about it. I have no info but maybe some of the other girls do. If you post this on BHB you might get more responses too
i was told to call the hotel about 1 year before the wedding and you just tell them how many rooms you will need. Then they give you a certain date that people need to book them by or them open them back up to everyone at the regular rate.
We are booking a block of rooms for friends and family that want to stay. Then we are going to party at the Hotel Bar after the wedding.
we are going to look into the pricing and what not about 8-10 months before the wedding, that way pricing and everything else will be set in stone.
they will only give you prices and let you block rooms 1 year before. So none of us have hit that mark yet
are you supposed to send the hotel info with the STD or can it just be sent with the invite? i dont knwo the timeline on blocking rooms

i'm also gonna put hotel info on my wedding website so my guests can look stuff up that way too
Good stuff....I figured we couldn't do it this early...but FH family are all from GA so I'm a little anxious about this part!! I def want to get a hotel that we can hang out at the bar afterwards. We are booking Crest Hollow on SUn, and there are nice hotels in the area so I'm sure we will work something out!!
