I am also almost engaged!! We have been dating for about 5 years now and he told my family that he is planing on a 2010 wedding :) And from what I hear, I will be engaged shortly!



So here I am on here researching ideas and getting a feel for all of the vendors and reviews so that I can formulate my vision...LOL

I believe I will be joining the ranks of the newly engaged very soon (if I am reading FH correctly ) but its awesome to know right now I'm not alone!

You guys need to go on that reality show Hitched or Ditched on CW11 Tuesdays @ 9/8c

'Hitched or Ditched' is a one-hour reality show focusing on couples who are in long-term relationships but have not yet taken that big leap into marriage. Nominated by a friend who believes it's either time for the couple to tie to the knot or break up, each episode features a different couple who accept their friend's proposition to set a wedding date in one week’s time.

Throughout the week leading up to the big day, the couple is put through a series of personalized exercises that test their relationship, all while planning their dream wedding. They may have to confront their problems ranging from mending relationships with future in-laws to dealing with jealousy issues. When the wedding day arrives, the couple will make the final decision - will they tie the knot or call the whole thing off? Viewers will witness every emotional milestone as the couple decides if it's time to get 'Hitched or Ditched.'

The fiance-to-be and I had a talk about the engagement last night and it looks like we will be engaged in the spring (when love is in the air) and I will be a September 2011 Bride. I will keep you all posted when I am 'official'...LOL

I am also almost engaged..the ring is ready and waiting to be picked up..we have already booked our reception hall and chruch for sept. 25, 2010..so i hope it will happen soon

I'm in the same boat! Lurking on these boards. Researching here has really helped with my patience and not bringing anything up to him. We've been dating a few yrs and I think he's going to do it this yr but no idea when. We already know our wedding budget, picked what photographer we want to book and know we both like september. All I need now is to be proposed to!

LOL, I am in the same boat with you Queen! He gave my family some insight to his plans last Christmas so I can only hope that it will happen soon. This site definitely doesn't help with the patience piece but it is soo addictive!! I have to say that I am getting less anxious now because he gave me a timeline so I know its going to happen. We are definitely planning for a Sept. 2011 wedding now....I will see you when we are both 'official'. Good Luck!!

Hi Ladies! I'm here too! FH and I have been together for 6 years...I'm expecting the ring this fall. He won't give me a more specific time frame beacuse I am TERRIBLE with finding out suprises, and he really wants to make sure I don't know any of the proposal specifics! We're planning on a long engagement, for a wedding in Fall 2011.

I my job is primarily research-based, so it's kind of my M.O. - to find out as much as I can about things. Since FH and I are going to be hardcore wedding planning in just a few months, I have been doing some of the background research on vendors, pricing, ruling out things I don't like and collecting pics of things I do.

I have helped to plan a lot of weddings, so on the boards I usually respond to other brides about the stuff I know about and have had experience with. I'm sure I will be posting much more when I am in the middle of serious planning!

I am almost engaged but already planning the wedding! I am currently living in south america but my fam is still in NY. I am very 'daddy´s little girl' in some ways and I wanted my dad to meet him first and for him to talk to my dad before officially proposing. We went to FL last year (disney) and my fam met up with us but my dad couldn´t.

In october we´re going to ny and that was supposed to be the time for him to talk to my dad and have 'permission' to propose. I actually told him we couldn´t be officially engaged until he met my dad. I couldn´t imagine being engaged to someone who has never met my father!!

Then, you know moms, my mother starte talking about wedding ideas with me and with him and one thing lead to another and we realized the best time to get married would be april 2010. we can´t exactly wait until october to start planning . . . so here I am!!

Last night I spoke with my dad and he gave me 'permission' to get officially engaged. This way I can start officially telling my bridal party, booking the hall, etc.

I told my boyfirend last night (we live together anyway!) and told him he now has permission to propose. We´ll see how that goes!!
