Anyone else???

So far in the past 3 days, we've had 5 people back out that were supposed to come. I keep having to call my catering hall and adjust the total. Frustrating!!!! Anyone else have this issue??? Like, this can't keep happening once we give our final payment :-/

my bff who got married last month had 10 people back out a week before! she already gave final payment & was devastated. she still gets so mad talking about it lol. she had her brothers just start inviting their friends so at least she could fill the seats. they all put some money in a card for her too.

I'm hoping this doesn't happen to me.... but it seems to happen a lot... oh and 3 people day of her wedding didn't show too. didn't give an explanation either. 1 was even at the church but skipped reception. she was like what the ????

oh and a husband/wife 2 kids that came ordered dinner and then left without eating. AND the wife put her daughter in pajamas for reception after cocktail hour..... so she was walking around in pjs. I dunno how people think it's okay to do half these things at a wedding lol.

We had about 10 people just not show up after they said they were coming. It definitely just happens. Make sure you get to take their meals home with you! You paid for them so you should get them.

Give your rh 2-3 less people in the count. Bring extra cash and let you maitre d know during cocktail hour if and where to add the extra seats. We had a couple not show up bc he got hurt at work. I was so happy I did this and it worked perfectly. The did give us a card but it would still have bothered me.

That is crazy!!! I would be so fustrated as well.. I'm getting nervous now since we didn't hit our minimum because people had to back out. Now I'm afraid the day of or even week of people will back out. I would be so upset too especially if I've already paid for them.
