REALLY tired? I didn't sleep well last night since it was so hot & humid, plus I kept opening my eyes to see if the power was back on... now I'm at work and hardly anyone is here, so it's super quiet, and half of the lights are off to save power. I am nodding off!! ZZZZzzzzzz...........

Re: Anyone else...
I didnt sleep a wink. I was scared to be home alone in the dark. Every time i would drift off, something outside woke me up.

I agree Jen! I missed my AC but was happy I was at least home in my own bed.
It's amazing how these things really put life into perspective, and make you realize how much we rely on technology and electricity!!!

Re: Anyone else...
I slept as sound as I always do...our apartment is cool all the time and we haven't needed a/c all summer so we weren't affected like most were. Thankfully.
D a m n those people in RVC & Freeport with their own generators & electric!

Re: Anyone else...
I think I woke up like every half an hour, I did have power and we did have a fan on, but since our a/c blocks up the only window in the house we were stuck with only the fan.
I wnated to turn the a/c on so bad, but my dad would have flipped.
It could have been worse, I could have had no fan, but I certainly wasn't comfortable.

Yes, but not because of the blackout - I live in Virginia . Me and FH are babysitting a co-worker's dog. He's a terrier and wanted to sleep on the bed with us. Everytime one of us moved though, he'd growl at us! I guess he was just nervous, poor little guy...

Same here...way too muggy to sleep and FI asked me to stay over (I'm spoiled with the A/C)....PLUS the dog was panting all night and chewing on her bone and she was fidgeting in her cage all night!!! Caffeine is my best friend right now.....

Re: Anyone else...
I'm tired too, even though I slept late this morning. DH had to do a double shift last night and didn't get off work until 4:30 a.m. Now he's back at work already and has to work 12 noon to 12 midnight. I didn't go to sleep until I knew he was on his way home. So I'm shot.

I didn't sleep well either. I think I got about 3 1/2 hours last night, but not straight through. My DH, on the other hand, slept about 8 hours last night! He can sleep through anything!

Re: Anyone else...
I'm very sleepy and achy...I had to walk home from work yesterday about 2.5 miles feed my cats. FH works out on LI and had to stay at his parents home in Queens. I went to my parents house who luckily live pretty close, except I had to go up 13 flights in their building, with a flashlight. Oh well, we survived the night, slept about 2 hours and went to work late this morning.
