Anyone Else A 'Daddy's Little Girl' Bride??

my father has sang that song to me since i was a baby....he'd come in my room and sing it to me, and then whistle the rest until i fell asleep...i got the worksheet from my band (Timepiece!) last week and even though it is going to be impossible to get through, we're going to dance to it! i'm already a wreck! at dinner with FI last weekend, he asked me how the song went and i got really emotional just speaking the words....especially the part about 'you're the spirit of christmas, the star on the tree' b/c my birthday is x-mas eve and he always calls me his best present. :)

how to get through this dance standing up! and he really wants to do it, even though i suggested we just laugh it off and do 'my first, my last, my everything!'

Yes! I am a 'Daddy's Little Girl' Bide! My parents both used to sing to me when I was little (for my mom, she changed it to 'mommy's little girl' ) It's also the song my mom and fmil danced with their dads to! Very traditional...but not many people use it anymore....I love that!
