I'm doing something like this one. I printed and cut the flowers out myself and will print out the center pieces with the names on them shortly. My florist is going to supply the branches, but I have the vases, sand and the ribbon and A-Z prints already.

I think if you used fall colored flowers or leaves, it would look great!

You're welcome! They are just supplying me with the branches and I will put the rest together, so I don't think it'll be much at all.... I'm meeting with them tonight, so we'll see!

Saw the same idea-MS Weddings, Fall 2004 issue I believe.

Although I love it - it isn't exactly practical for my reception, so I'm doing something else I love equally w/pumpkins.

I would guess you'd have to contact your florist and discuss how you'd go about doing it. If you look at MS Weddings online, you should be able to find the picture I would think.

Re: anyone else doing a placecard tree?

I saw an asian themed 'best wishes' tree in a wedding magazine a while ago and fell in love with it -- imagining I could do a similar thing for my fall theme with placecards.

When I met with my florist she said she could give me branches but stressed that the sort of branches I'd need are in season now and may not be in late summer (my date is 10/9), so she is saving them for me now. If you want to do this in late summer/early fall you might want to check with your florist now.

Recently I saw this picture (sorry -- can't remember where I saved it from). Its a 'best wishes' tree, but EXACTLY what I had in mind!

My friend had a butterfly theme so she did a butterfly placecard tree.

I was going to do the tree as well for the fall them & have leaves hanging from a tree but I am going to have about 150 placecards so it would be hard for my guests to find, instead I am doing placecards with leaves on them. Good luck.
