Anyone else driving their FH crazy?!
Hi,I was just wondering:
I've been engaged for almost 4 months and since then I have been nothing but a crazy lady! Everyday is something new... band, dress, bm's dress, favors, photo, video, etc. I'm not getting married until next October, BUT I am making myself panic and my FH crazy! Does this anxiety slow down at all??? I feel like I'm the only bride who is experiencing this
A few of my friends are getting married in 2003 as well and I just feel like they are so calm compared to me...
Is there a point where I can just slow down with the planning? Don't get me wrong it is very exciting!
I think I just feel EVERYTHING needs to be done ASAP or something will go wrong!
Sorry, needed to vent.... AGAIN! Thanks again for 'listening!'

Re: Anyone else driving their FH crazy?!
It gets pretty crazy in the beginning when you are focused on booking your vendors. It is definately stressful because you want to make sure you book a vendor who is good and fits in with your needs. So what might be perfect for one, may not be perfect for all. But once all your vendors are booked and you get your dress and all the big stuff is done, there is definately some slower times. But I am now two months away and beginning to feel crunch time with final details...programs, menus,.etc. Hang in there! But remember to take a weekend off here and there from wedding planning...it will keep you sane!

Re: Anyone else driving their FH crazy?!
The same thing happened when we were engaged. I felt like I was driving him bonkers
with all the questions. Dont feel bad. I just dont think they get into the planning as much as we do.

Re: Anyone else driving their FH crazy?!
Thank you!
I've actually been trying to stay calm, occupying myself after work and stuff... I think I'm getting better, but I think he wants to strangle me sometimes
Thanks again

I am driving him insane and I can't stop and I feel HORRIBLE. I said I'd never be a bridezilla and I'm afraid I'm turning into one! I promised myself I'd be good from now on though. You aren't alone.....

Re: Anyone else driving their FH crazy?!
I don't know which is worse...asking for his opinion and him telling you the wrong answer
or feeling bad about just making decisions!! I think my FI thought I was insane when we were putting our invites together. I knew the whole tissue paper and placing everythig in the right order in the envelope would not be his thing, so he was my stamp boy! So he started putting them on and they were crooked..so I said they have to be straight and he said 'It doesn't matter!'...LOL...if they only understood that it sure did matter!! I had to laugh at that one....

Re: Anyone else driving their FH crazy?!
I say No I am not driving him crazy, but if you asked him I am sure he would say, 'Michele needs to relax a bit. She is driving herself crazy really' . He said that to my aunt the other night when asked this very question.I agree with the other posts- he either has NO opinion or says the wrong answer. And his usual response is, 'Michele no one will even notice' or 'Michele no one but you will care about that' Which is entirely NOT true. But can we expect from men- they have stores where they RENT their formal clothes, are even given socks and shoes to wear and just have to show-up.

Re: Anyone else driving their FH crazy?!
Since the day after he proposed I was driving my FH crazy. We are in different states, so I'm planning the whole wedding where I live on Long Island, but I keep him updated on everything I was looking at, and when I made my vendor choices of two, that's when I brought him to make the final decisions. He went with me to register, (I put him in charge of the scanner), after one store he had enough and told me to finish it on my own.
Like someone said 'The woman plan this more than the men', all they really have to do are some minor arrangements and show up.
Right now I either booked most of my vendors, or know who I'm choosing, so right now there's a lot of slow time.

Re: Anyone else driving their FH crazy?!
Thanks ladies!
I knew I can count on you guys to cheer me up!
I guess the guys really don't get it... we've been planning this our whole lives... my FI pretty much tells me, I gave you the ring, I did my part ... BUT, I do have to say, he has been more involved than most men I know who are getting married... so he's not too bad with the planning, I just feel TERRIBLE that I'm such a wacko!

Re: Anyone else driving their FH crazy?!
I drive him crazy about the wedding plans and he drives me crazy about renovating our apartment. While he is at home depot getting sheet rock and paint, I am picking out invitations and flowers. It works for us.I have to say that my FH is very patient with me, I dragged him to many bridal showcase, florists, photographers and even to register (which only lasted about an hour). So now I just go to the vendors that I want, bring him back info and make a decision.

Yep, I've been driving him crazy for over a year and a half now. He doesn't want to hear anymore about the planning of the wedding.

Re: Anyone else driving their FH crazy?!
Actually, I was lucky to have a guy who was able to help me not go crazy with all the minutiae of wedding planning hell. But, I think that being 3,000 miles away from the wedding site also helped me to not sweat the small stuff. Since I was so far away, there was no possible way that I could get to every single detail, and I believe that alone saved my sanity.

Re: Anyone else driving their FH crazy?!
We took turns! First he drove me mad! Second guessing everything just after we booked the hall!!!
But then, I drove him nuts! Now that I got so much ready (mine is next May) I feel lot more relaxed, waiting for January for stressing some more (I doing a master, which is my 3rd degree in my field, so I will be in school break by then) ... now I am only going crazy with my e-ring. He is making it/putting it together (he does jelewry as hobby ... and I can't see it yet! I feel like taking the apartment down to find it ... but he is not giving it to me yet
... I guess it is just part of all this sweet madness!good luck,
Elena

Re: Anyone else driving their FH crazy?!
YES! I was frantic about booking a reception site and bombarding him with ideas and concerns and everything else. At first, he couldn't understand why we were planning a wedding this fall for next July - he believed that we didn't need to begin thinking about it until next spring. Now that the reception site is booked, I hope to be much calmer, but we will see!
