anyone else feel after all is done at the wedding

...ok since alot of people are doing father daughter dances, mother daughter dances, fh and mother dances or grandma dances

introductions

bok and garter tosses

visiting tables of family members (which i dont want ot spend my whole night doing...come see me haha jk but i think i am doing this at cocktail hour instead)

cake cutting

and speeches by best man and moh's

there is like NO time left in the wedding haha. I feel after all those take up time and then people have to sit down and eat their dinner there is only about an hour and 1/2 left in your wedding to enjoy and dance!!

Man this night is going to fly by...I think I might want to add an hour onto my wedding- FH is going to kill me

I plan on taking some of those things out so I can have more time to party.

We are not doing bo-k or garter toss
We are going to do the father-daughter/ mother son dance together.
The receiving line at the church will help with having to say hello to all the guests.
And the speeches will be during dinner

you don't have to do all those things. we're not doing bok/garter tosses, speeches (though that depends on FH's best man/men), introductions, or a receiving line. we might do the father daughter and mother/son dances together also (I originally wanted to cut these out too but i got a REALLY hard time about that).

We're not doing alot of stuff so we have plenty of time for dancing.
-No bouquet/garter toss
-No photo montage
-Taking all of our pics before the ceremony so we can mingle and greet everyone during cocktail hour
-Only one speech (just the best man)
-We're not stopping the party to do the cake-cutting. We'll have the DJ announce it and whoever wants to come watch can, but the music won't stop. I'm not having a 'cake-cutting' song.

We have no option of extending time on our wedding and I plan on dancing my @ss off so I will cut out anything I feel that is unnecessary so ppl can just have fun and dance.

you are right - FH works weddings almost every weekend (especially now because we are saving for our own wedding!) and he said that unless the party goes into OT that there isnt that much time for dancing - especially when there are ceremony recaps, montages, speeches, the dances, cake cutting, garter/bok tossing, vienesse hour, etc. etc.

but we already figured out ways to cut a lot of that stuff out or make it shorter and we are also doing an extra hour.

im glad that FH has been to over 1000 weddings he is the best wedding planner!
