It is 17 days til my wedding and I keep on looking at myself in the mirror saying, 'I wish I would have lost some more weight,' 'I wish I would have been more disciplined with the gym,' 'Is my day of hair the right style for me?' 'Should I whiten my teeth more?' 'Do I have enough days left to tan so that I am tanner?'
I am feeling ugly and not feeling like I am going to look beautiful on my wedding day. And you know everyone is going to tell you that you do because its like a rule.
Maybe I am just tired and stressed or maybe its because I keep on finding pieces of spakle in my hair from the house (which btw is weird since Ive showered like 3 times after sanding last night)
I dunno is it just me??

Re: Anyone else feel this way?
first off
i think its common for us to feel this way,i mean we only want to look perfect on our big day right?
u need to remember that fh loves u for who u r and not what u look like..as corny as it sounds
and u wil lok beautiful on ur day no matter what because u will be a bride,a beautiful bride who looks radiant because she just got married to the love of her life, not cause her hair came out perfect or her skin is tanned
and remember all u need to look beautiful is a big ol' smile
hope u feel better and i have no doubt that this feeling will pass
(and just so u dont feel alone, most days i feel like a look lke a female version of john goodman )

I felt like that times infinity before our day. People would have thought I was certifiably insane if they had been inside my head! You're your own worst critic... Believe me, you are going to be the most gorgeous bride, your dress is going to look amazing, your hair will be gorgeous and everything is going to look PERFECT! Don't beat yourself up over these next couple of weeks. Just know that you're a beautiful girl and you're going to be the most stunning bride.

Ugh I TOTALLY feel the same way... I was looking at the pics from my shower last weekend and was like, 'If I look like this in my wedding pics I'll cry.'
I have a little over a month to go, so extreme diet/excercise starts now!

Drink a lot of water, avoid salt, and work out. You can do a lot in 17 days.

Re: Anyone else feel this way?
Every time I look in the mirror or look at a picture of myself, I wish my arms look better. I wish my face wasn't so fat. I wish I was able to style my hair better. I hate the wrinkle forming on my cheek but only under my left eye.
I look at my one ephoto I got back so far and I think all I can see is my arm. Why why why did I think a strapless dress was ok when it just highlights my fat fat fat arms and back and as*...
Then I think about FH and how much he loves me and I try to let all the insecurities melt away. It's how I look. Nothing I do now with 31 days left to go is going to change the shape of my face (and why would I want it to?) or the contours of my body significantly. It's just me. I'm still the bright, happy, laughing, loving person I always have been and now that FH is permanently in my life, will be.
It's tough. I have to keep telling myself not to worry about how I look and just to know that I'm fine. It's hard to have standards of perfection for yourself that you can never meet. Time is going to move forward whether I lose the weak chin or not... I might as well try to be happy about the good things and not sweat the back and arm fat.

I can definitely do the water and salt thing, but right now my work out consists of spakelling, tearing up carpets, and painting so im hoping I am burning as many calories as I would at the gym.
I have also stayed away from alcohol too hoping it makes my skin look better. I have a facial scheduled for Sat so hopefully all i need is a good day of pamerping to make me feel good about myself.

Re: Anyone else feel this way?
I know how you feel. I have been always very hard on myself, never feeling good or pretty enough. The wedding is playing on my insecurities in a major way. I am constantly beating myself up for not taking care of myself the way I should, but working so many extra hours to help pay for the shindig has left me with few hours to workout and has done little for my stress eating problem. After being stuck in the house with a stomach virus for what seems like forever, I have been thinking about this a lot. I think we need to give ourselves a break, take a step back and see what FH is going to see. A beautiful woman, wearing an amazing dress who is going to be his amazing wife, forever. FH keeps telling me that I am beautiful, maybe it is time to listen! My MOH gave me a piece of advice and I am going to try to live by it: You are going to be a beautiful bride, your FH is going to be enamored and all of the insecurities will be gone that day. You are going to look beautiful
