Anyone else following the US Open?

I can't wait for the Blake/Agassi match tonight!! I don't know who I am going to root for.

I was out of town most of the time, but I just read that the reign of the Williams' is over.

Oh, and I have to root for Agassi, for the sentiment of it

Well, its about time.

It is so hard to pick because Blake has a great story also. He broke his neck, his dad died during his recovery. I don't think I can pick on sentiment because they both have that going for them. I just think it is going to be a great match and that whoever wins it will be well deserved.

I agree. It is going to be a great match. I know Blake has a lot that he has overcome, but I started watching tennis during Agassi's early years (when he had that headband long hair thing going on). I'd like to see him win...who knows how many more finals he will see?

I love the US Open!!!!!!! we try to go every year but with wedding expenses we couldnt - but we've been watching as many matches as we can.

Both Agassi and Blake are awesome - such great sportsmen and real class acts - a pleasure to cheer for either of them.

my favorite player is Kim Clijsters - have been cheering for her since 2000 - I just love her style of play. Her match against Venus was awesome - I really hope she wins this year.

DH and I always say we are going to go, but then we discover that we need the $$$ for other things.

I like Clijsters, but I am rooting for Pierce. We old girls gotta stick together.

I love Pierce too - a great story there. . . I'm 32 - It's amazing to hear about these women playing so young -Clijsters said she wants to retire in 2 years - when she's 25!!!!!!!!

so young, so young.

I dont know why but I can't get into Maria Sharapova - it's her wave thing that she does after she wins a match -it annoys the crap out of me.

I go once every year with work. I went last Thursday night and saw Blake and he was okay - nothing special. Last year I saw Agassi and he was awesome. IMO he's got more charisma.

i was at the Open on Sunday when Blake played and was losing but came back and won.

We were able to see Venus warming up (but she lost the next day)
