ME and DH definately got a re-gift. It was so obvious. The same people who got us that gift, also gave my brother & his wife a gift. (It was the same gift they had brought them 2 months prior.) How tacky! Obviously they didn't remember who bought them what.

Re: Anyone else get a re-gift?
My aunt and uncle who I never see, gave me an obvious re-gift. It was a hodgepodge of random things. Strange. Since I don't live in NY anymore and I happened to go upstate Albany on Friday to visit my grandmother, maybe they felt they had to give me something because I was there.

Re: Anyone else get a re-gift?
I am almost positive I got a bottle of wine as a re-gift. I'm pretty sure because I know that this person would never think, 'oh let me go to the liquor store for her hanukah gift'
Yup, but it's a family joke. DH's family regift the same blooming onion maker to a new person each year, each time hoping someone who wants it will get it (it's in addition to whatever else they give - not the only gift). I got it this year - so I guess I'm officially part of the family. I'm regifting it to my sister along with her other gift and moving it to my family since his family has run out of people to give it to!

Same thing happened to us at our baby shower...from girl who'd just had her shower 2 months prior... I have to remember to thank 'Timothy' (whoever the hell that is) - for the lovely gift!!!
