i am enjoying the cooking part. I actually just came from the supermarket and for some reason excited to make dinner tonight but thats bc its something ive never made so curious how it will come out. I keep wanting to try new things

I HAAAAATE being home though. I get so bored and miss being productive all day long lol. I quit my job with intentions of starting something else but right now its not the easiest so in the meantime i am looking for a job and the market S*CKS!!!!!!!!!!!!! its so hard. I am hoping by end of summer i will be able to start what i really want to do but just have to wait a little bit. I really cant take this anymore, its so boring lol

you get to stay home for the summer?? No fair!!! how come?

i quit my job...and no trust me I HAAATE it, you have no idea. I have so many things coming up and i need money for it, so its not fun at all. I spoke to a recruiter today and she might finally have something so im praying by next week im working again. I seriously cant take being home. I quit for certain reasons and it made it easier bc i had plans to do something i want to do but unfortunately at this very moment i cant do it.

its funny bc when you work you complain about it but now i miss waking up early and being productive from early. Cleaning, doing laundry, and all these things dont take that long and certain things like laundry you dont do everyday so it gets so boring.

I dont mind cooking at all. BUT I hate getting home from work at night and being really hungry and having to cook then. I also could do without laundry. :) And I have organizing. I dont mind actually cleaning- just putting away things...

i'll pay you to do MY laundry. I'm not even kidding; i don't mind doing laundry so much but i hate folding and putting it away... i'm seriously considering asking him to split the laundry but I just can't do that b/c when he was home his mom did ALLLLL his shirts with starch and crap and i'm just keeping my mouth shut b/c if she can do it well so should i. But there's so much more laundry now that we live together... if i never had to wash and fold another white t-shirt i'd be SO happy

i wouldn't mind cooking but i get home too late so he usually makes dinner. and forget cleaning - i have a cleaning lady for that.

oh god it takes me longer now to fold. I always thought i folded well so didnt have a problem, but dh has his own way of how he wants his clothes folded and he is very OCD about it, so now i sit there and carefully fold it the way he wants it folded

I didn't used to mind the laundry but now it's become my least favorite thing! Last week I hit the Laundromat with 3 FULL baskets of stuff for 2 of us. I counted 30 t-shirts that FH wore in 6 DAYS!! Not to mention the polos, shorts, jeans, etc. Seriously, what the heck is going to happen if we have kids?! I may as well just learn to do laundry in my sleep! I think the worst thing about being home is the BOREDUM. There's only so much cleaning, organizing and cooking you can do. I don't know but I think when you're used to using your BRAIN at work, it makes you feel a little dumb since the housework doesn't require much thought.
My FH is very generous and always tells me to use the ATM, or to go shopping to make me feel better (because he knows I love to shop!). I try to explain that I don't even want to shop because I should be making $$, not spending it!! The market is awful right now and I decided to go back to school to change careers. I'm looking for a new job for a lot less $$ that I can do while I'm in school again. I know I'm more than qualified, but still nobody seems to be calling! It's very frustrating!!

it is so boring and a few times dh will say to take his express card or something and go shopping and i just cant, i also feel i shouldnt be spending if im not making it right now.

Like you said it gets soooo boring. When you clean everyday theres not alot to do so the cleaning wont take very long, definitely not to keep you occupied most of the day. I had to go to the supermarket before and then decided to make something else too and went back and since they didnt have what i needed i decided to walk 20 blocks to another supermarket and they were missing 1 thing i needed so went to another one. I didnt mind at all bc im out walking and being active. I dont mind days where i have to go into the city and run errands and do things, i look forward to that

I also decided i want to go back to school, already looked into it and probably cant do it for september but trying to go back in january. I know what ill do while im in school to make money but the plans i have, i have to wait another month or so.

it S*CKS and can completely relate. I might start working again next week and oh god i pray for it lol

I don't mind cleaning that much , if I don't do it , it won't get done. as for cooking, i have to be on the mood . I would HATE not working and staying at home unless I have babies and even then I think it would be boring , i actually like working

Re: anyone else hate having to be domestic???

I don't mind cooking so much, but I HATE doing the dishes. Unfortunately for me, he hates doing them too. So I usually end up doing them when I can't pile any more into the sink.

I like doing laundry, but since we live in an apartment complex, I have to lug it around and I hate doing that. So DH brings it to his moms house (she lives around the block) and starts it, and she almost always finishes it, and fold it. We then take it home and it sometimes makes it to its proper place, sometimes it sits in the living room for a week first.

It's usually a shared responsibility to clean. We'll let it get messy for a week or two, and then just clean REALLY well one day and get it all done. I like it that way.

It's just hard to get all of this stuff done when you work all the time.
