Anyone else have a 'break'

with their FH? I met FH over 3 years ago on a blind date his cousin (whom I'm friends with) set us up. Well, we dated for 4 months then b/c of timing we broke up for 8 mons. I was totally devastated b/c I knew he was the one, but went on and after 8 months he started calling again and asking for plans... I had my guard up at first and of course after a while it came down, we fell in love and the rest is history... Of course I still joke with him that he DUMPED me. LOL!

Just thought I'd like to hear other stories of girls that may have the same situation. Sometimes those breaks are for the best. Now I got a huge diamond to make up for it.

never been that situation before. that so great that he realized you were the one for him, even though he dumped you, but he knew he made a mistake.

One of my BM's has the exact same story and she is now happily married with and in a beautiful house and happy as ever!

we've been together for close to 12 yrs....what do u think???...lol so yes we broke up a couple of times....each time was so ridiculous...maybe a week breakup two weeks the longest was the last one it was three months!!!!!!....but then we were engaged a lil over yr later

We casually dated for awhile. I knew he was the one but, he wasn't ready yet. We took an official break and he called me up 2 months later. I had my guard up as well! It all worked out though!

We never had an official break but we have had our rocky and perhaps not too faithful times...

Yes! FH and I have been together 7 years (this March). We started dating when we were 19 years old and both felt at one time or another that we should experience some things on our own. I think I recall breaking up for like a week

I actually broke up with FH for a little over a month... he was saying that he wasn't sure he wanted to get married & to have a family. i knew i def. wanted those things so i left him. in our time apart he realized that not only did he want those things, but he wanted them with me! we got back together & the rest is history! sometimes a little time apart really lets you see things in a whole new light!

Yup-- we were together for 3 1/2 yrs, then apart for a year, now back 2 1/2. We never stopped talking though...although, during that year apart I dated someone else for 6 months and was doing some serious single girl partying...it was fun, but I knew we were meant to be. He's my best friend, and it was hard not having him around to talk about everything. The time apart was good for us though, although I was devestated at first-- we both had the chance to experience other things...and you know what they say 'Absence makes the heart grow fonder'
