I am only 29 and I have it already. I think it's hereditary.
Anyone have remedies?

I also have it. It's in my knee ( I had sugery 5 years ago). I usually take Excedrin when I have pain. It works pretty well for me.

I have osteoarthritis in both my knees. Ice works the best. About 15 minutes and you feel so much better.

I woke up this morning and it felt like someone had been twisting my knuckles all night. It usually starts that way, and then aches throughout the day. Usually feels tight and has an annoying throb. It also intensifies when it's humid.

I feel it too, in hands & wrists, knees, shoulders, hips - god I'm a wreck! Sports and work have taken their toll - fortunately it's Osteo, not Rhuematoid like my Mom has.
Misty - if you haven't seen a doctor to have it formally diagnosed you may want to make sure it's not Rhuematoid arthritis; if it is they can advise on early treatment before it degenerates too far.

Yes, I get it in my fingers too. I used to do hand quilting and it hurt my fingers so bad. I don't have any remedies.

I have an arthritic back - which was severely injured during my childbirth with Paul. I have pain everyday, but some days are not as bad as others. ALEVE helps ALOT - it is over the counter, and it is an anti-inflammatory. I don't know what I would do without it.

Frank has arthritis VERY badly... in the cold its TERRIBLE... he used to do karate which worked wonders.. he says the more active he is the less pain hes in.. he has it so bad in his hands and his wrists some nights hes awake all night in pain...
we were just put on a medication called ENBREL since he has been on it NOTHING, no pain no stiffness nothing, its like he doesnt have arthritis at all.. he also has soriacis (sp?)which made him a great candidate for this drug... i dont think its for everyone though,.
have you tried magnetic bracelets... i heard they work WONDERS..
