Anyone else have their dress come in too big!

I just need some reassurance that alterations will be fine. Its too big on top and im very worried.

OH YEAH! Mine is way too big....everywhere. They ordered it in the smallest they could, still way too big. It's going to need some big time work. It literally fell off me. I had to hold it up the entire time.

Mine did also. They charged a ton for alterations, but it fit well the day of my wedding.

Of course, they are supposed to order a few sizes bigger just in case you gain weight or what have you, they just want to be certain the dress will fit at the time of your wedding.

No worries, if anything you should be happy it wasn't ordered a few sizes too small


PS...I usually wear a 5/6 or 7/8 and my gown was a 12 and fit perfect on my special day.

Thanks that makes me feel a lot better. Im the same size as you and they ordered me a 12. I couldnt beleive it when I looked at the tag.

YES they were able to take a size 14 dress and make it into a size 5/6.

I didn't think it was possible (and I was having panic attacks thinking about it) but they did it.

i went for my fitting today and my size 4 dress was soo big on me. its going to need major alterations and now i am so nervous for my 2nd fitting in two weeks. When she put the pins in to mark where to alter it, the dress started pulling so now i am scared it will look like that after she finshes, (another thing to stress about), plus she needed to add cups, take in the waist and sides, do the hem and put in the bustle, PHEW!!! and b/c my dress has a lot of detailing and stuff, so the women said it makes it even harder.
