Anyone else having a hard time finding a restaurant to host RD on Friday Night?

Most places I called said they cannot do it on a Friday night at 7:30 because they are too busy. Any suggestions for the babylon area???Thanks girls.

We had the same problem so we ended up having it catered at my moms house. It was fantastic!

I am having the same problem....one resturaunt told me that they'd have to close the resturaunt to accomodate us, and that'd be about 15,000! Woah.

Anyway, I don't know anything in babyolon, but what about beachtree cafe in East Islip or the Irish Cofee OPub, also in East Islip. I've been to parties at both, and have really good food and service -and not too far from babylon.

my friend did something a little different- the church where she had here rehearsal and ceremony had a fellowship hall/room- and they had nice round tables and chairs already there- so she just had food catererd, and had it there- it was nice because we didn't have to go anywhere after the rehearsal- we just had to walk downstairs maybe you could do something like that???
i think RD at homes or more casual places are good- the wedding is gonna be formal enough....

I'm not from the area but we had the same problem. Our wedding is on a Saturday also so we're having our RD on Thursday

I think we are going to have ours on a Thursday... plus I don't want to deal with people having hangovers on my wedding day!!!

Try Papa Joe's on Commack Rd in Deer Park.

They have a partition that they'll close off - and the food is awesome. Its Italian.

We had a similar problem because our wedding was on a Sunday, and no one wanted to give us a private room. We had a private area at Seascape on Montauk Highway in Islip. And the prices were very reasonable!

Our RD is on a Thursday at 7:45PM, Fh's parents are hosting and they really liked E.B. Elliots in Freeport and when they called they were very accomodating.

When my sister got married, my cousin offered her house for the rehearsal dinner....My mom and aunt cooked and we got a 6ft hero....We also got a cake and some people made some desserts......It was nice because we weren't on a time schedule....Only bad thing was the cleaning up but it wasn't too bad.....HTH
