FH has a brother who is my age - 24, hell be 25 in June. Hes immature, no real direction, can be a Pain in the asss and a trouble maker, but we all get along fine. HE and Fh do have their moments tho -
Well, FH informs me this morning that his parents are having a hard time with the brother - and its indirectly our fault (we arent being blamed or anything). Hes Jealous!!!! FIL's bought us our HM, a really expensive cookware set, the RD and some odds and ends here and there im sure. I spoke to FMIL today and she is so worn out by the brother. I feel horrible. Bro wants to know when hes getting his things and why no one is buying him anything or paying attention to him. I start to feel bad but then I just want to slap him and just tell him to grow up already!
Theyve explained to him that hell get his turn one day when he meets someone special. hes not dating right now. And FH is moving out April 12th. But he keeps lashing out and making their lives miserable. I feel so bad. It only started now that we are 1 month and 28 days away...
Anyone else have this happen?

I think your FH's brother needs to get a clue and grow up. I'm sorry to be so blunt but he should know he'll have his turn someday (hopefully) not cool to be a baby about it. He's a grown man...not cool someone needs to put him in his place!

It isn't happening to me, but it did to a friend of mine. Her early twenties sister was jealous of what her parents were giving her. Its so immature! He has a lot of growing up to do and one day when he meets the right girl, then he'll understand!

Thanks - and yea i love blunt people - so right on with your opinion, im over him and his 5 year old ways. I just wish my IL's could put their foot down with him for their own benefit. Im kinda shocked hes acting this way, but not really.

It hasn't happened to me, but I agree with the other posters. He needs to grow up. He's basically being a brat. He's probably used to always getting his way and being the center of attention. Now he's not and he's throwing a fit.
Tell him to grow a set of balls and be happy for his brother.

you are so right - his behavior is disgusting. We are just ignoring it. Hell miss FH when hes gone and not living at home anymore.
Its just making me laugh really. Im happy no one else has to deal with this.

This hasn't happened to me, but this sounds like a chick I know!
Seriously, he does need to grow. Can FH tell him to stop acting like a child and grow the F up? If my sister was being like this, I would tell her!

wow. sorry... it does sound like FH's brother is jealous, but come on... its not like he's getting married, why would he want all of that stuff for himself right now?

I think you just hit the nail on the head right there. I'm assuming he's the youngest? It sounds like he's so used to getting his own way that he's now acting like a baby because he's not the center of attention. And if his parents don't put their foot down and put an end to it, he' going to keep on behaving this way and they have no room to complain - it's NOT your fault! They should not allow him to behave this way.
