Just today when I hit the menu button to see whats on tv, it makes my tv go black and nothing happen. I have cablevision. And I dont know why it is doing this but its super annoying! And my internet is super slow, and my phone is so crackly I cant use it. Are there any alternatives to cablevision? Im very unhappy with them right now!

I have cablevision as well and maybe it's just me. But, I notice that when I record a show and try to watch another channel it gives me problems. It is so annoying!!
Ya I was so frustrated last night! We thought about verizon but its like a 12 hour install or something ridiculous like that! I had time warner in the city and it was fine but I dont think LI has that...

Do you ladies shut off your boxes each night? They send updates to them in the middle of the night. My FH actually works for cablevision, and I know he's heard nightmares about verizon. Alot of people who have switched to them, come back to cablevision within a few months. The benifit for you on that is if you leave cable and come back, the can offer you more. I have a dvr and record 2 shows at a time, and watch something else, with no problem. THe internet has been slow today, but I havent noticed anything with the phones. Try calling and see if they are having trouble in your area.
